Welcome to the Cub Care Facebook Fan page! Cub care is a non-profit child day care organization that currently has over 176 students, ranging from 3 years to 12 years attending their preschool and school-age programs. It is located on 210 Main Street next to a large ball field on the 3rd floor of an old school building. Fifty-two children are of the pre-school age group. Its current facilities include a kitchen, an eating area, a computer lab, indoor play area, indoor arts & crafts area, and two education centers dedicated to preschool and school age kids. Cub care’s programs consist of arts and craft, sporting and creative activities. Its day care programs are dedicated to children in the Vestal School district. Its summer programs, on the other hand is not geographically limited to the school district.
Cub Care is constantly expanding in order to meet the needs of their students. However due to limitation in funds, Cub Care is now actively fundraising to build a creative playground for their children participants. The purpose of the creative playground is to let the children explore their artistic and creative abilities on their own. The playground consists of a garden, a sandpit and other fun structures that will actively engage children to think critically. Cub Care has started to reach out to local businesses for donation to build their playground. Its playground will cost about 10,000 to build, with the most expensive investment in the playground’s foam surface. The financing for this foam surface will be accomplished with a program called Buy-A-Tile where generous donors will spend a small amount of money to buy a tile of this foam surface.
Cub Care’s main support system stems from a very progressive committee made up of 10 involved parents. These parents just organized a bottle drive to aid the fundraising effort. Our group’s ultimate goal is to help increase the attention and awareness to Cub Care’s programs and fundrasing efforts. Hopefully our help would make the playground project successful.
