The Knight Gallery

Knight Gallery is an iconic nightclub located in the hub of the Northwoods of Wisconsin. The business was the vision of the late Jeff Lorbetske and his wife Nancy. The nightclub featured top of the line interior design for the 70s provided by a company out of Milwaukee. Today the original look and feel still can be seen and experienced.

During its early years Knight Gallery booked show bands, provided a supper club type menu, and employed a large staff. As the decades past the popularity of disco and show bands faded. DJs began to play music on vinyl up through the 1980s. The bar was a late night hotspot for decades. Lines of people would wait outside its entrance. Doormen posted at the entrances with walkie talkies and had to keep track of numbers of people to not violate any fire codes. Knight Gallery thrived and was open during the earlier decades 7 days a week.

Presently Knight Gallery operates on just Friday and Saturday nights from 8 PM until 2:30 AM. Knight Gallery does however open for certain holidays and events. It still remains the only nightclub in this area. We have typically 1-2 DJs that alternate performing. Our music now is all digital, but still has a DJ orchestrating the entertainment. Nancy Lorbetske has remained the owner and several staff members have been with Knight Gallery for over 30 years! Today it is still the standard gathering late night hot spot in Rhinelander. People from all over come down to dance, listen to good music, and socialize. 2018 signifies our 45th in operation. Not too many nightclubs can say that.
