Commerce School of Dance

Commerce School of Dance offers classes in ballet, pointe, jazz, hip-hop, and tap for students ranging from preschool to high school seniors.

The school is headed by Kim McCachren Sellers. Coming from a family of four kids and two working parents, Mrs. Sellers knows the challenges facing parents today, and she has built her school with these challenges in mind. Commerce School of Dance features the following:

- Two studios in one location, allowing for a wide selection of classes for each discipline at each grade level
- Flexible scheduling to better accommodate parents (we are often able to schedule siblings on the same day, back-to-back, or even simultaneously)
- Deep discounts for multiple hours taken (within the same family)

We also offer one of the most dynamic recitals in the region:
- The school is divided into three short, one-hour recitals.
- Each class performs in AT LEAST one recital.
- Family members never have to wait long for their child to appear
- Students never have to wait long backstage

Company members have the chance to perform in our annual Christmas Spectacular! featuring Act II of The Nutcracker and a Rockette-style tap and jazz selection.
- Senior I Company members perform in both selections with the chance of being in up to SEVEN dances!
- There are four solo opportunities in The Nutcracker portion your child could be rewarded with as a Senior I Company member!
- Senior II Company members also perform in both selections and may also perform one or two dances alongside the Senior I Company
- Junior Company members taking ballet are guaranteed one dancing role in The Nutcracker and a couple roles in the second half of the performance
- We also feature the Pre-Company members in one dance during our tap and jazz selection!
