The Village Players began as a fundraiser in 1947. A sub-group of the Crooked Billet Club, the Junior Neighbors Club, has such good success with the fundraiser that they organized the theater. Originally, the productions were held in the Hatboro High School auditorium. When the need for their own venue arose, the players purchased the dairy barn and renovated it to a theater.
Over 70 seasons later of outstanding community theater performances of comedies, dramas, mysteries, and farces, we're still going strong as one of the most popular community theaters in the area.
