Philosophy We at Johnson Child Care Center Inc. believe that children are our future. With this as our goal, we believe that it is our job and responsibility to provide a learning environment for the children that is inviting, developmentally appropriate, supports growth and individuality. We hope to accomplish this by providing opportunities for the children to explore, experiment, create, pretend, develop both small/large motor skills, as well as, language development. Instructional activities, which are planned for the child, are designed to meet the readiness of each learner. These activities provide a balance between the process and the content of learning. The classroom environment is structured to foster an activity-oriented, child centered approach to learning. Children are encouraged to become self-directed learners through involvement in classroom activities and choices. The Johnson Child Care Center Inc. staff focuses on the whole child. Vision Our vision is to provide a program which emphasizes the development of cognitive skills, self-confidence, social skills, independence, self-control and direction, language skills, physical skills and reading skills. Through developing these areas, the children are working on kindergarten readiness.
