Spanish Peaks Library District (SPLD) Facebook Disclaimer/Policy
The SPLD facebook page is intended to provide the citizens of our county access to news, information, services and activities at SPLD. In addition, SPLD may post pictures, stories and statements that add to the uniqueness of our page and community. Our Facebook provides an open forum, but it is a family friendly platform. We ask that all posts and comments please be kept clean. Furthermore, we ask that you please follow our posting guidelines. If you do not comply, your message will be removed from public viewing.
• We do not allow graphic, obscene, explicit, or racial comments or submissions, nor do we allow comments that are abusive, hateful, or intended to defame anyone or any organization.
• We do not allow solicitations or advertisements. This includes promotion or endorsement of any financial, commercial, or non government agency. In accordance with, we do not allow or support attempts to defame or defraud any financial, commercial or non-governmental agency.
• We do not allow comments that suggest or encourage illegal activity.
• Any external link that appears on the SPLD facebook page does constitute an endorsement nor represent the views of SPLD.
• The public participates at its own risk, taking responsibility for any comment, username and any information provided.
• We reserve the authority to remove any post we deem as inappropriate.

Staff Procedures
• SPLD has an Admin Panel that determines what will be posted on the page.
• Only SPLD staff can post.
• It is the responsibility of the SPLD staff to maintain and keep current with the happenings at the library.
• SPLD staff will post only on behalf of the library.
• We, the SPLD staff, take responsibility for all actions: timeline posting, event and activity announcements, pictures, hours of operation and posts inviting or requesting community participation.
