A ministry of the West Ohio Conference of the United Methodist Church, UMCH Family Services, formerly United Methodist Children's Home, began as an orphanage. We originally contracted the land upon which the Worthington, Ohio campus was built in 1911.
Through the years, the way we have served children has changed to meet the needs of a changing world, but the mission has remained the same.
Today, we serve children and families through our three programs: Treatment Foster Care, Adoption and Post Adoption and Family Mental Health Services. In fact, we have gone from being the home for children, to being homes, dozens and dozens of them. We provide homes through Treatment Foster Care, find homes through Adoption and strengthen homes through Outpatient Family Mental Health Services.
