Founded in 1984, Christian Family Daycare and Preschool was started by Dolores Russell in the basement of her Holliston home. Her goal was not only to promote a safe and happy environment in which children experience the joy of learning but to share her Christian view that we should love God and one another.
As her preschool grew, Dolores became trained in and adopted the Montessori Method for educating children. In 1998, she moved her school to St. Michael's church in Holliston and renamed it Christian Family Montessori School.
Christian Family Montessori School is proud to offer quality education for children ages through 6 years old who live in Holliston, Hopkinton, Ashland, Milford and other surrounding towns. Our staff works hard to provide a warm and loving environment in which the children can develop their confidence and independence. Our curriculum is based on the Montessori Method of teaching and includes Everyday Living, Sensorial, Math and Language materials based on that method. We also focus on Science, Geography, Cultural Studies and Grace & Courtesy lessons. CFMS also provides a more advanced Kindergarten program for children who are 5 years old by September 1st of the current school year. This program utilizes enriched Math and Language materials, offers a more comprehensive Literature program and focuses on teaching for understanding as opposed to memorizing facts.
At CFMS we offer the following programs: * Full-day 8:30 - 3 * Half-day 8:30 - 11:30 * Half-day with lunch 8:30 - 12:30 * After school care 3 - 5:30
