The Cat Fanciers' Association Foundation was established in 1990 by the Cat Fanciers' Association, Inc. Board of Directors as a forum to educate the general public about the existence and history of the cat and the cat fancy.
A Feline Historical Museum was established in Alliance, Ohio, in 2011 to display artifacts and art that relate the history of the cat and the cat fancy, as well as represent the cat in all art forms.
