When you arrive on Sunday, be prepared for a legion of hospitable people to assail you with handshakes, smiles, and offers of freshly prepared organic omelets and fat-free muffins. Okay, that’d be weird, but we do have fresh premium coffee and donuts available for FREE in the Fellowship Hall. That alone will make the trip worth while. And if you have children, we have fully staffed, age-appropriate children’s services designed specifically for kids of all ages.
Our worship music is a blend of mostly contemporary, with a traditional hymn of the church mixed in ever-so-often. The main thing you will notice about the worship is that it’s passionate and heartfelt. And those on the worship team are very talented musicians who have a heart for God and worshiping through music.
We pride ourselves on being a church that teaches the life-changing truths of the Bible. You’ll find the teaching to be life-applicable, fun, and entertaining, although we do take the message of hope through Jesus very seriously. It is our goal to help people connect with God in a real way, which aligns with our vision of “leading people to a healthy relationship with Jesus Christ.”
One important thing to know about Mercy Church is that we do not subscribe to the religious, legalistic, judgmental attitude that is sadly such a part of Christianity. We love God and love people…period! No one at Mercy Church will look at you sideways for any reason … unless you think you are perfect and better than everyone else…but only then. We are a community of broken people hungry for God, accepting and loving one another unconditionally, as Christ has loved us.
You are welcome and wanted at Mercy Church, where you can truly be accepted for who you are as you become all that God intends you to be, because your life matters!
We are often asked; "How big is Mercy Church?" Answer: We are big enough that you can slip in and slip out with no hassle (we don't freak out over visitors - we have many who visit every week), but we are small enough that you won't feel lost or like a number.
