Summer is a great time to tour the houses with the kids! Beat the heat and come tour our houses! Old Tavern daily at 10:30, Battle-Friedman at 11:30, Jemison at 1:30 and then Murphy-Collins at 2:30! a full day of history!

We are excited to announce our annual Ramble will be to Historic Huntsville, Alabama! We will tour four magnificent private homes as well as enjoy a director's tour of the Weeden House Museum, followed by lunch at Cotton Row by chef James Boyce. Tuscaloosa County Preservation Society added 2 new photos.
We are pleased to announce that the Tuscaloosa County Preservation Society will partner with several area private collections and the College of Human Environmental Studies to put on a special exhibit at the Jemison Van de Graaff Mansion. The exhibit, "Sitting Back in Time: Parlor life in the 1860s", is curated by Emily Waite, a Huntsville native and senior in the Interior Design Program at the University of Alabama. The double parlors of the mansion will be fitted out with a fine collection of items, using pieces of the existing collections as well as item on loan from private collectors. There will be an opening reception on Thursday, March 9th From 5:30 to 7:30 with 19th century inspired refreshments. The Exhibit will stay at the house through the end of March. We are excited to showcase our structures, our collections, and our partnerships with the university and the community to bring a special one of a kind events to our area.
