MIFA’s mission is to present the finest examples of contemporary practice in the performing, visual and literary arts for the purposes of educating, entertaining and enriching lives. MIFA serves the economic revitalization of Holyoke through the preservation and reopening of the historical landmark Victory Theatre.
Headquartered in Holyoke since 2005, MIFA acquired the Victory Theatre in 2009. The Victory, a 1600 seat Broadway style theatre opened in 1920 and has been derelict since 1979. It will be returned by MIFA, to its role as a major live theatre for the City of Holyoke, its surrounding communities and the Connecticut River Valley from Long Island Sound to the Canadian border.
