Our organization assists families in regaining their independence and self-sufficiency by assuring that parents: • Obtain employment, stabilize their income, and improve money management skills. • Avail themselves of government and other help agency support services. • Become involved in training opportunities to improve job and life skills. • Participate in counseling (informal and professional) to address social and emotional problems.
Who do we help ?
The guests at Family Promise are like any other family, except that they are experiencing severe economic hardships. Usually, one or both parents are employed or have recently lost a job. Families have been living day-to-day until some event worsens their situation. Soon, parents and children find themselves without a place to live.
Guests must be: + a family - parent(s) with children, married couples, pregnant women + alcohol and drug free + psychologically healthy + able and willing to work + ready to achieve stable, long-term housing
