Kelly's Kandy & Nuts

Kelly's Kandy is a family owned and operated business established in 1974 by Thomas and Dale Sheehan. The Couple married in 1964 and ran a traveling concession business that took them to all kinds of events, including The Worlds Fair, The Indianapolis 500, Super Bowl, Mardi Gras, and the Kentucky Derby. The daughter of Vaudeville performers and self proclaimed "Chester Girl," Dale said the traveling got to be a bit much, especially after giving birth to her daughter, Kelly.

Tom and Dale didn't want Kelly to grow up on the road, but they didn't want to start working for anyone else either. The couple decided to launch a candy business at the original Booth's Corner Farmers Market on Naamans Creek Road in Bethel, and name it after their two daughters Kelly and Kandy.

The Sheehan's spent five more years at Booth's Corner after it was rebuilt from the fire that took place in 1973. Kelly's Kandy relocated to Brookhaven for a few years before purchasing the current store on MacDade Blvd in Collingdale in 1983.

Today the business is stil run by the family. Everyone has their own special jobs, weather it's making fudge, carmel corn, candy or carmel apples, chocolate pretzels, peanut brittle, custom chocolate sets, Easter eggs, you name it, Kelly's Kandy has it covered
