It all started with a dream. When it comes to healthcare, every woman dreams of caring professionals who empathize and understand them. Every woman dreams of walking into an office that feels more like a home, and less like a “doctor’s office”. Every woman dreams of being treated like a person, not a dollar sign and being appreciated. Dr. Vickie Lovin understood these dreams and made them a reality with A Woman’s View.

A Woman’s View was established in 1996 as a small gynecology practice with only two providers. With the care and hard work of the physicians, nurses and administrative staff, the business began to grow exponentially. In 2005, we added primary care for women, and in 2008, we began to offer obstetrics. Between providers and staff, we’ve now grown our team to more than 60 members. We span three suites in the Westover Park building and we are continuing to grow. Our mission is to provide excellent health care for women, not only caring for their physical bodies but understanding and empathizing with their need to be treated as a whole person, not separated from their mental, emotional and spiritual selves.

Our gynecology department offers routine wellness exams, gynecologic surgery, menopause treatment and counseling, incontinence care and bone density screenings. We offer diagnostic ultrasounds and treatment for abnormal PAP smears as well. Our gynecology team currently boasts four physicians and one nurse practitioner.

Our primary care department treats everything from colds, to the flu, to other common illnesses and includes one physician and three nurse practitioners. These ladies are dedicated to your year-long care and prevention.

The obstetrics department at A Woman’s View includes four physicians and one certified nurse midwife. We offer treatment for infertility, prenatal care and postpartum care. We offer 3D/4D ultrasounds for our patients as well, so you can see what your little bundle looks like before they are born! All of our obstetric providers are accepting new patients and we deliver at Catawba Valley Medical Center.

A Woman’s View also offers a wide array of special services for women, making our practice a one-stop shop, including a weight management program, screening mammograms, bone density screening and an in-house laboratory.

The overwhelming success of A Woman’s View would not be possible without our dedicated professionals. Our staff has the impeccable ability to make each and every patient feel important and taken care of. We are women too and we believe that because we have been through what you’re going through, we have a way of making our patients feel comfortable in a situation not normally associated with comfort.
