Building transmissions is not for everyone. This TH700R4 was just built by a group of students under the supervision of a supposed master technician at a local community college. The owner of the vehicle and his son (who was a part of the student team on the project) were excited to finally drive their pick up and enjoy the fruits of their labors. Unfortunately, they were not even able to pull it out of the garage. End play was too tight, the pump is worn out, the rear planetary gears wobble on the shafts, the 2/4 servo pin is too long, the input sprag is no good, and the reverse input drum is warped. The students worked very hard only to fail because the instructor either stretched outside his realm of expertise, or failed to give proper supervision.

Jeff recently purchased the chocolate boy here. He is only three weeks old so can't go home yet. Before he does, he's going to need a name! So far, Torben, Ivar, and Kustaa have taken the lead. Suggestions anyone?
