Call for Artists:
The Touch of Class Art Show is a wonderful local art show in Havelock. This show started in 1982 by the late Audrey Smith (my mother) and Helen Emerson. We are making a last minute plea for local artists to participate--registration is low. Please pass the word to other artists and help us save this show!
This year's exhibit will take place on February 17th, 18th, and 19th at the Havelock Tourist Center, Hwy 70 West in Havelock--directly behind the Hampton Inn.
The exhibit will open with a reception on Friday from 6 pm to 8 pm. The exhibit will be open on Saturday from 10 am to 5 pm and again on Sunday from noon until 4 pm. Artworks must be picked up at 4 pm.
Local middle and high schools have been invited to participate. The Epiphany School, Annunciation, and Havelock High have participated annually in this event. Note that school entries do not have an entrance fee.
Two and three dimensional works will be accepted (original art work in Oil, Acrylic, Watercolor, pen and Ink, Photography, Pastels, and original three-dimensional works and Fiber Art, Pottery, etc).
All Two-dimensional work must be ready to hang with wires--NO SAW TOOTH HANGERS.
Artists wishing to participate may register by emailing Jodi Tomboulian at: email@example.com by Wednesday, February 15th. The entry fee may be paid when dropping off the work on Friday. Drop off is from 9 am to 2 pm on Friday, February 17th. No works can be accepted after 2 pm so that the show can be hung. Please make arrangements to deliver the artworks and entry fee during this time.
Entry fee: $10.00 fee per artist/photographer. Additionally, 15% of any purchase will be retained to offset costs, so price your work accordingly. Please make checks payable to: Touch of Class. Please bring the fee with you on Friday.
