Join us Saturday April 8 in the beautiful Union Hospital Atrium for this free event that families, moms-to-be, and those who want to learn about having a healthy pregnancy can attend. There will be community resources to help improve maternal and child health. Attendees will also walk away with great items for their families like car seats, baby quilts, cribs and much more.
Join us on April 8, 2017, at Union Hospital's Atrium in Terre Haute for our Second Annual March of Dimes Community Baby Shower. We are bringing together community resources to help improve maternal and child health. Information will be available from 9:30-1 and a variety of classes will be offered. This is a free event that families, moms to be, and those who want to learn about having a healthy pregnancy can attend. Attendees will also walk away with great items for their families as we have great partners helping us to secure car seats, baby quilts, cribs and much more. Participants who attend our safe sleep classes will receive a free pack n play. Seating is limited and classes are first come. Classes will start on the hour at 10 am, 11am and 12 pm. Anyone recognize this house? In the fall of 1918 a terrible outbreak of influenza took over the Wabash Valley. In addition to providing personnel, Union Hospital moved rapidly to enable the community to care for those stricken with the flu. Union Hospital donated land at Eighth Avenue and Center Street for an emergency care facility, known as the "Flu" Hospital. #tbt #throwbackthursday
