One of the most common questions new visitors have when visiting our church for the first time is “What does Maranatha mean?”
Answer: "Maranatha" (pronounced like "mare-ah-nath-uh.") consists of two Aramean words put together into a phrase which means "Our Lord comes," "Our Lord is coming," or "Come, our Lord!"
This phrase was used as a greeting among Christians in the early church. It is used as an invocation in 1 Corinthians 16:22 and is also among the final words of the Bible (Revelation 22:20).
As such, it is a perfect name for our body of believers as we wait patiently for the return of Jesus.
