Iowa-Missouri Conference of Seventh-day Adventists shared Union College - Lincoln, Nebraska's photo.
Sad news for those who knew and loved Dr. Ward Hill. He passed away this morning. Please join us in praying for his family.
Dr. Ward Hill passed away this morning. While we mourn our loss, we know Dr. Hill would tell us he is simply "at rest to await the call of the Lifegiver." Dr. Hill came to Union College in 1971 as a theology professor, having previously served in the US military, pastored throughout Canada, and taught at Kingsway College. During his tenure at Union, Dr. Hill chaired the Divisions of Religion and Humanities, served as academic dean, and held the college together as interim president in 1991. Dr. Hill was a gifted communicator and engaging teacher, and even though he officially retired in 1990, he continued teaching classes until 1999. Most recently, he and his wife, Eloise, have lived in an memory care center in Lincoln. published a photo essay and article about their struggle with Alzheimer's last September ( Funeral services will be held at the College View Seventh-day Adventist Church this Sunday at 1 p.m.

We take ministry seriously, but we also know how to have a little fun. Leann here just won a 1st place "medal" for exceptional awesomeness--a feat worthy of much more than a real medal, but we also take stewardship of ministry resources seriously... We hope everyone's having a great Wednesday! 😀
