Innovative Social Model for Alzheimer’s Care
We provide continuous care for individuals suffering from cognitive impairments due to Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias. Residents live in traditional homes, nestled within tranquil residential communities that allow them to become part of an extended family of both residents and caregivers.
Our staff is made up of licensed nurses and certified medication administration aids, who have been specially trained in the care of dementia related disorders. We maintain high staff to resident ratios, and all care is provided under the direction and supervision of each resident’s physician.
Our homes are specifically designed to accommodate those suffering from Alzheimer’s or dementia related diseases. They are one-story, barrier-free buildings with a family dining room, kitchen, living room, spacious sun room, bedrooms, and covered porch. They have secure, picturesque grounds that are accessible by all residents.
Daily life is much like it is at home. Residents participate in activities such as: preparing meals, setting tables, folding or sorting laundry, gardening, card or board games, daily exercise, walking, reading, arts and crafts, watching movies, pet therapy, music therapy, and a variety of other activities based upon individual interests.
Our care programs utilize both clinical research and our experience in practical experience, which has proven that small residential group settings improve the quality of life of residents and their families. Residents participate in activities in small group settings to maximize their abilities and to maintain their independence.
We provide continuity of care. Once our residents join us…they are at home.
