Lyons Coffee Service is a second-generation family business based in Wells, Maine. Founded in 1975 by Stan and Hazel Lyons, the company has provided high quality coffee, tea and break room supplies to clients throughout Maine and New Hampshire for more than 35 years.
In 1985, Stan and Hazel’s son Dan joined the business in the early years of the specialty coffee boom. Under Dan’s leadership, Lyons Coffee became the first office coffee service to offer top quality specialty coffees to companies in northern New England.
Today the company roasts its own line of Katahdin Specialty Coffee to ensure the highest level of consistency and quality through and through. Named for Maine’s most iconic mountain peak, the brand features three distinctive blends of only the finest 100% Arabica beans.
In 2014, Lyons sold its office refreshment business to focus on the Katahdin Specialty Coffee brand, which is now offered in over 70 stores throughout Maine.
