A Grain of Sand is a Vintage & Contemporary Beads and Findings Company. We cater to the DIY Jewelry making community & Jewelry Designers. We are a family oriented business located in Mooresville, North Carolina. Over twenty years ago A Grain of Sand was just a dream and a shoebox full of old jewelry. Now with a lot of hard work and great people, it is a reality. A Grain of Sand is dedicated to customer satisfaction and friendly service. The cover image was taken when we found the famous "Bead Hoard" in its original state. In 2011 A Grain of Sand purchased 4 52' trailers full of vintage goods that was the remains of a jewelry/bead company from NYC that was in business from 1930’s to the 1980’s. We are still finding all sorts of rare and unusual vintage things. The story was published in the February 2012 issue of the Bead and Button Magazine.
