Aliso Elementary School

Dear Aiso Eagles and Parents,
It is my great pleasure to share some wonderful news with you!As you know, we grew an astonishing 45 points in our Academic Performance Index (API).We are absolutely thrilled with this gain and could not be more proud of our students and teachers.
Of course, this news is amazing, but this week we received even more good news regarding our test of you may be familiar with the Academic Yearly Progress (AYP) accountability. This accountability includes the goals set forth by the federal government and because we receive Title 1 funding, Aliso is held to a higher accountability than non-Title 1 the past 3 years, you have received a letter indicating that we are in Program Improvement and offering you a different school for your child due to our test of our students have remained at Aliso, knowing that we have an incredible way to exit Program Improvement is to meet the ever-increasing goals set by the federal government for 2 years in a for the excellent news…we have just learned that Aliso has officially earned their first year towards exiting Program Improvement!If we improve again this year on the state tests, then we will exit Program Improvement!This is an incredible feat and truly shows that Aliso has a strong academic program and that the educational methods that we are using are working!
It was a proud day this week for me when I found out this tremendous know that our students will excel again this year with our excellent teachers and you, our supportive parents helping at home.
