New Horizons is a private, not-for-profit organization, founded in 1964 that began as an outgrowth of a parents’ group concerned with the lack of opportunities available for people with disabilities. Our core purpose is to help people with disabilities succeed.
We provide a wide array of vocational and other rehabilitation services to people with disabilities as well as those with other barriers to employment We have six branch locations and numerous work sites in the community.
The individuals we serve are referred to us through agencies such as: Macomb Oakland Regional Center, Bureau of Services for Blind Persons, and Michigan Rehabilitation Services. The individuals served must be legally diagnosed with a disability and are eligible for Medicare/Medicaid, which place them in the low-to-moderate income level.
It is the mission of New Horizons Rehabilitation Services, Inc. to measurably enhance the quality of life for people with disabilities. This is accomplished by providing professionally designed rehabilitation services, which are consumer driven.
