Discipleship is defined here at Ascension as "Dedicated to Knowing Him better so that we can Serve Him better". Our dedication to discipleship has four primary pillars:
WORSHIP: Members are engaged in community with God and others in: thanking, praising, and honoring God; confessing faith in Christ as their Savior; acknowledging sinful ways and receiving forgiveness of sins; and reminding themselves of gifts and grace of God.
STUDY: Members are increasing their knowledge of the Scriptures in order to develop a passion from within the Body that will create an evangelistic outpouring outside the Body.
RELATIONSHIP: Members are gaining warmer, fuller, more intimate and compassionate relationships with the Lord and with others.
OUTREACH: Members are helping non-member friends, relatives, and co-workers gain warmer, fuller, more intimate and passionate relationships with the Lord and with others.
