Like many nineteenth century artists and craftsmen, stonemason Bean established his reputation working on the magnificent Biltmore Estate in the 1890’s. After the estate was completed, Bean remained in Asheville to establish Bean, Western North Carolina’s quality fabricator of natural stone products. A century of quality service later, Carolina Stoneworks carries on the tradition of excellence begun by Bean and continued by his son and grandsons for three generations.
