The Washington County Humane Society provides shelter, food, care and medical services for nearly 3,000 animals annually. We do not euthanize for space nor do we put a time limit on our animals and hold adoptable animals as long as it takes to find them a loving home. We are not funded by tax dollars and rely heavily on the generosity of our supporters. WCHS is a private, nonprofit organization who is not funded by the county. Only 10% of our revenue comes from our animal contracts.
