The Lutheran Home of the Good Shepherd was incorporated in the early 1960's and has been a New Rockford landmark ever since. It was incorporated by 15 Corporate Lutheran Churches. The Corporate Churches continue to have members serve on the Board of Directors. LHGS has had changes throughout the years - adding an assisted living complex, chapel, day care center, apartment and growing as time and needs have evolved. LHGS completed a major ($6 million) remodeling/renovation/addition project which gives the residents a more home-like, intimate living environment, and brought us into the more current level of nursing homes and allows us to be competitive with newer and larger facilities.
