Greater Greenwood United Ministry is a multi-faceted, non-profit organization owned and operated by Christian congregations of Greenwood County. Since its beginning in 1995, the ministry's mission has been to assist those in need in the loving manner of Jesus Christ. All Christian churches are invited to share in doing the Lord's work by becoming a member and supporting the ministry. Our member churches provide volunteers, donate food and are a major source of our financial funding. Our partnership of denominations, congregations, and community groups provided the following: * collaboration between community churches * reduction in the abuse of services * well trained volunteers and staff for both the Crisis Ministry and Free Medical Clinic.
