Founded in 1995, LMR Tires has been delivering extensive auto repairs to satisfied customers throughout central Pennsylvania. We focus on building strong customer relationships and providing the highest quality of workmanship on each and every automotive repair.
LMR Tires has its roots in a 1994 partnership between Chris Lykens and Chuck Feighner. The original tire shop name was Feighner Tires. Chris Lykens sold tires at Lykens Market in Lamar, then the customers went to his home to get the tires mounted and balanced. All the tires were kept in the basement at his house.
In 1995, Chris made a deal with Bill Ingram from William J. Ingram Fuels to build a garage in Lamar beside Lykensss Market and sell tires. Chris and Chuck terminated their partnership and LMR Tires was born.
The name LMR comes from Lykens Market Racing. LMR was successful in Lamar and opened a second location in Bellefonte in 2001.
The agreement with the Ingrams was terminated in 2005 and LMR Tires moved to a new building and location next to the Comfort Inn. A car wash and mini-storage have been added since.
