Physician's Open MRI is Calhoun County's only TRUE open MRI. We have a pleasant and comfortable scan room, we are child friendly, and the noise is significantly reduced. Our exclusive open design is more accomodating for claustraphobic patients than traditional closed tube type MRI scanners. We accept most insurances and will assist your doctors office with any precertification that is necessary.

Getting you scheduled on the same day the test is ordered is always possible and your report will be returned to your doctor within 24 hours. Give us a call and let us assist you in getting your test done with us.
FAQ's What should I wear for my test? We recommend wearing clothing that has no metal or bringing clothing with no metal (shorts or lounge pants). If you would like to bring your favorite CD with you to listen to during your scan. We also recommend that you leave all of your valuables at home. You will not be allowed to wear jewelry, take your cell phone/iPod's, wallet or purse into the scan room with you. All we will need is a picture ID and your insurance card. How long will the test take? Most all exams we do take approximately 30 minutes. Some may be a little longer or shorter, but on average you will be in the machine about 30 minutes. Can I take my medicine before the test? Yes. You may take all medications prescribed to you. Can I eat and drink before my test? Yes.
