Tahoe Regional Planning Agency

The bi-state compact agency created to provide an equilibrium between the natural and man made environments of the Lake Tahoe Region. To implement the direction of the Compact, TRPA uses two main tools to protect and restore Lake Tahoe:
-An Environmental Improvement Program that implements restoration projects to heal past damage to the ecosystem.
-A regulatory program that works to minimize the impact of developed properties on the watershed.

The purpose of this page is to inform and educate on Tahoe Regional Planning Agency and general Lake Tahoe restoration efforts, news, events and environmental stewardship. We ask you to keep it clean, have fun and follow a few simple rules:

Play nice. We have zero tolerance for name calling, profane or obscene language, harassment of any kind, racial or ethnic slurs, personal attacks, or threats.

We love photos! We invite you to post pictures of your experiences in and around the Basin. However, all photos unrelated to Lake Tahoe or TRPA will be removed.

No spam, please! We welcome posts about Lake Tahoe news, events, businesses and the community. All advertisements unrelated to TRPA and Tahoe will be removed.

Stay on topic. This means no rants, religious remarks, or any topic you avoid at dinner parties.

Respect our privacy and the privacy of others. Please do not share or request confidential information on our page.

It's okay to disagree, but keep it clean. We will only delete a comment if it violates any of the aforementioned rules. We welcome feedback and of course, compliments.

Rule breakers, we reserve the right to delete your comments without explanation and ban all repeat offenders.
