Chapel of Praise Mission Statement : To Equip the disciple, Exalt the Father, and Engage the community
To Equip the Disciple The church is made up of individuals that form the body. The life and health of a church is directly correlated to the growth and maturation of the believer. Biblical growth takes place through personal discipleship in addition to the ministries of the church. Discipleship is relational and intentional and leads the believer into personal holiness, deeper relationship with the Father, and committed service. A major part of discipleship is understanding that everyone has a purpose and a role in the kingdom. Chapel of Praise is committed to giving opportunity for that growth through the teaching of Scripture and training. Great Commission (Matt. 28:28,29), Imitate me as imitate Christ (1 Cor. 11:1), Study to show yourself approved (2 Tim. 2:15) Preparation of the saints (Eph. 4:11-15)
To Exalt the Father Worship is the display of our affection towards the Father. Biblical worship includes our words and deeds in our daily lives, in addition to our corporate worship services. Chapel of Praise is committed to creating an environment conducive to hearing God’s voice and lifting up praises to Him as a body of believers. This will inspire believers to live out an attitude of worship in lives submitted to the Father. Worship in Spirit (John 4:24), Present yourselves as living sacrifices (Rom. 12:1,2), Let your light shine (Matt. 5:16)
To Engage the Community The church exists not only for the growth and maturation of the believers, but to reach the greater community with the message of Jesus Christ. This is accomplished through building authentic relationships , simply and effectively communicating the gospel, and seeking opportunities to serve those around us. It is through the intentional and continuous effort of both the individual believer and the church body that the Great Commission is accomplished. Chapel of Praise is committed to furthering the gospel at home and abroad. Go out and compel them (Luke 14:23), Great Commission (Matt. 28: 18, 19), Reach the community by being the community (Acts 2:46,47)
