To become a member or to find out more about us, attend one of our meetings held every Wednesday night of every month, 6:30 PM, at Sam Bass Station One, 17505 Great Oaks Drive.
*In order to become a volunteer member, you will be asked to fill out a application form. (you may find this on our website )
Requirements For Becoming A Volunteer: *Devoted and Reliable *You must be at least 18 years of age. *You are requested to attend 4 meetings a month. *Be able to lift and carry heavy objects up to 100 lbs. *Be in good physical health. *Be willing to become an EMT or First Responder (medical training is paid for by the fire department), or at least obtain a CPR card. *Be willing to get up in the middle of the night to help ANYONE if needed. *Possess a valid drivers license, with no major violations on your driving record. *Pass a Background test and a Drug screen.
What Does Sam Bass Fire Department Provide You? *Fire and Medical Training on Mondays 6:30 PM (That lasts 2 hours ). *All equipment necessary for fire fighting after training is completed. *If you are an EMT, we do provide medical supplies for first responders. *Camaraderie and skills necessary to work in a team environment.

What we need from you is the same level of commitment is expected of all of us here at Sam Bass FD. This gives us chance to get to know you and see how you work with others. This is a time for questions as well as starting to learn the job as a Firefighter/EMT.
