Roseville, MN is a suburban community of 33,660, located in the northern Minneapolis/St. Paul metropolitan area. Situated on two major highways (I-35W & State Highway 36), it borders both Minneapolis and St. Paul, and is a short commute to either downtown area. Roseville is considered the retail and commercial hub of the northeast suburban Twin Cities region.

Roseville was incorporated as a city in 1948 with a population of 4,589. The City experienced dramatic growth in both population and commercial development in the 1950s and '60s. Since then, the City has shifted its focus from planning to redevelopment and preservation. Today Roseville is a mixed-land use community with established neighborhoods, ample open space, and vibrant retail and commercial development. Location: Roseville is conveniently located off I-35W and Highway 36 in the near north Twin Cities metropolitan area and provides easy access to most of the areas major freeways including I-35E, I-694, and Highway 280. It is less than a 10 minute commute to either downtown area. Roseville is in Ramsey County.

Climate: The climate of Roseville is considered to be continental and subhumid, with long, cold winters and relatively brief, warm summers. Wide fluctuations in temperature and precipitation also characterize this climate. These fluctuations strongly influence the plant communities present in the region and cause plants to be adapted to extremes, rather than averages.

Shopping: Rosedale, a million-square-foot regional shopping mall, plus six other shopping centers combine to make Roseville one of the leading retail centers in the upper Midwest.

Parks: There are 30 parks in Roseville covering 632 acres with 64 miles of trails. Includes the Harriet Alexander Nature Center, which offers 52 acres of marsh, prairie, and deciduous/pine forest, the Guidant John Rose Minnesota OVAL and Skating Center and Cedarholm Golf Course.

Taxes: Roseville taxes are consistently among the lowest in the Twin Cities area. The City's policy is to hold tax increases under the rate of inflation. For many years, City taxes have accounted for less than 15% of a resident's property tax.
