OK Electric is proud to be the leader of commercial energy efficient lighting retrofits in Eastern Washington and Northern Idaho. Thanks to the help of our lighting partner, Firefly Lighting & Design, OK Electric has completed over 240 lighting upgrade projects in the past year and a half. Saving our customers an estimated total of 11,853,000 kilowatt hours of energy a year which translates to an approximate savings of $1,002,000 yearly in energy costs! Some of our customers include:

These lighting upgrade projects were made possible by aggressive commercial lighting incentive programs from Avista Utilities and other local electric utility companies. Collectively, we have helped our customers take advantage of over $1,500,000 in utility incentives to help pay for their lighting projects. Most utility companies participate in lighting incentive/rebate programs because it is beneficial to them for their commercial customers to upgrade to energy efficient lighting. Utility companies benefit from not having to build new energy sources to keep up with the high demand.
