Pacoima Beautiful is dedicated to the creation of a healthy, environmentally safe, prosperous and sustainable community.

Our goal is to provide residents of all ages with environmental education, the tools to become advocates for sustainable changes in the environment and the community, and the leadership skills to participate in dialogues with government officials and community leaders to improve the environment.

Our Values:

Pacoima Beautiful is a bilingual, multi-cultural learning organization. The needs of community members drive Pacoima Beautiful’s programs, projects and activities.

Staff and volunteers of Pacoima Beautiful respect the knowledge and the diverse ethnic, cultural and educational experiences of community members. The community’s knowledge and culture is highly valued and is integral to the work of Pacoima Beautiful.

Consensus building is valued and lends credibility in the resulting community decision making and implementation. Pacoima Beautiful places high value on improving residents’ awareness, education and leadership skills so that they can be more effective advocates for improving the community.

Pacoima Beautiful places high value on ensuring that residents of Pacoima and the Northeast San Fernando Valley will assume positions in the organization’s administrative staff.

Pacoima Beautiful brings community members together to address the needs of the community and to find solutions. We help community members generate and implement long term and sustainable changes in order to improve the quality of life in the community.

Pacoima Beautiful facilitates an evolving partnership between government, professionals/paraprofessionals and community volunteers to work toward common goals. We believe in volunteers to support and validate our programs.

Pacoima Beautiful serves as a facilitator and source of resources for community action. We are committed to youth leadership training and education as a key part of our long-term mission.

Pacoima Beautiful helps develop leadership and organizational skills in community residents to help them develop long term and sustainable changes. At all times Pacoima Beautiful respects the difference in educational level, language and culture within the community.
