The farm and ranch families of Farm Bureau raised more than $1.1 million and donated a record of more than 28.9 million pounds of food to assist hungry Americans in 2016 as part of Farm Bureau’s “Harvest for All” program.

The value of U.S. wine exports set a record last year, according to figures from the San Francisco-based Wine Institute. But the volume of wine exports declined about 10 percent, in part due to trade barriers imposed by other nations.
—U.S. wine exports, 90% from California, reached $1.62 billion in winery revenues in 2016, a new record. Despite challenges from a strong dollar, winery revenues were up 1% from 2015. Volume was 412.7 million liters or 45.9 million cases.
