Our mission is to preserve and interpret interest in the history Gray County and the White Deer Land Company through education with regard to the land, the people and their stories.
The White Deer Land Museum, located in downtown Pampa, Texas, was authentically restored from the 1916 office of the White Deer Land Company.
We have over 20 rooms depicting life in the Texas Panhandle around the turn of the century as well as Red River War exhibits and Native American living. Exhibits include: Country Store Schools Switchboards Military items Chapels Barber Shop Western Union Office Kitchens Parlors Sewing Rooms Bedrooms Ranching Implements and livery The First Oil Fields The Red River War Law enforcement Doll and toy collections Restored apartment of land office manager and museum founder, Brown. One of the largest arrowhead and primitive tool collections in the Southwest.
