ASCENSION DAILY PRAYER - EASTER/PENTECOST Increase The word of God continued to spread, and the number of the disciples in Jerusalem increased greatly. Acts 6:7 The message of Jesus is unique and has changed the world. Over a third of the world claims Jesus as the centerpiece of their religion. Even people who don’t follow Jesus look at what He says and did and are impressed with His life philosophy. In His time many people liked Jesus, even people who were nothing like Jesus. If we are simply able to introduce Jesus to people, there is a good chance they will be transformed by the work of the Holy Spirit. It has been happening since the first Easter. Jesus is hope. Live your life in such a way that you emulate the teaching of Jesus and even without saying a word you will continue to spread the word of God. Jesus we desire that everyone know You. We want to spread Your word through our lives. Let us be restorers of the world God created.

ASCENSION DAILY PRAYER Jesus’ Work [Jesus said,] “Amen, amen, I say to you, whoever believes in me will do the works that I do.” John 14:12 Jesus speaks profound, sublime words that can shape our faith and form our church. They should also compel us to the work of restoration that is missionary activity. Jesus says, "Whoever believes in me, will do the work that I do." Ultimately, the God work. The work of restoration is part of the movement of the Kingdom of God, the kingdom of love. When we serve in missions, we're joining in the movement of Christ's kingdom. That work will not be complete until the Lord comes in His glory at the end of time. Find your place in the church, serve to spread the word of Jesus. Step up to serve in the church and help begin the missionary work that is needed in the world. Jesus we believe in You and want to do the works You do. Send us Your Spirit so we may know where to serve, first in the church and then if we are able, to become missionary.

ASCENSION DAILY PRAYER Partnerships Brothers, select from among you seven reputable men, filled with the Spirit and wisdom, whom we shall appoint to this task, whereas we shall devote ourselves to prayer and to the ministry of the word. Acts 6:3-4 The apostles pick strategic partners to help them with their mission and it is a good strategy when it comes to our Mission work. The movement of Jesus specializes in creating disciples. But we also want to address injustice. Working with local charities to address injustice keeps the church on is primary focus while still bringing Christ’s light as restoration where help is needed. Jesus we want to make new disciples and address injustice. Give us the wisdom to leverage our resources to spread your message of love. Let us do this in word and deed, never losing sight of your primary mission.
