In 1993, our son Geordi, (Geo), was born with a developmental disability that impacted his intellect, his speech and his balance. At the age of 10, Geo still couldn't ride a two-wheeler despite many hours of practice & therapy.
He needed additional help to ride independently but he didn't need the intensive support of an adaptive trike. He fell into this "gap" that no product on the market seemed to fill. That's when my husband and I discovered FATWHEELS.
They were safe, easily installed, portable & affordable. We simply bolted them on his bike and in minutes he was riding around the neighborhood with the other kids!
Twenty years later in 2013, our family purchased the FATWHEELS brand. It has allowed us the wonderful opportunity of connecting with others & sharing the gift of adaptive cycling. We've met families, professionals and individuals of ALL ages who have discovered for themselves, the amazing gifts of freedom, independence, health & FUN that a set of FATWHEELS can offer.
