H. Smith McCullough & Associates was founded as a commission sales agency in 1968 by Howard S. McCullough. In 1972, Arthur S. Benton Company merged and the company began operating as McCullough & Benton, Inc. In 1978, the company was asked to distribute several product lines and the distribution company was formed McCullough & Benton Distributors, Inc. Howard McCullough passed away in 1984 and Arthur Benton retired in 1998. George L. McCullough, Earl T. Tveit and Anne McCullough Campbell are owners. In 2002, in order to be more closely identified with our current structure, our strong relationships with our vendors and our customers, we changed the name to McCullough & Associates, Inc., and McCullough & Associates Distributors, Inc. The two companies operate as one on a day-to-day basis and are commonly owned.
