Peninsula SPCA Social Media Policy
Our Facebook page is a place where you can keep up to date on the Peninsula SPCA’s latest news and events and engage in respectful dialogue with us and other guests. While we certainly encourage you to participate by sharing your thoughts and views, we do ask that you take the time to understand and adhere to the following guidelines:
Be respectful. Offensive or inappropriate comments, including profane, racial, ethnic, religious, classist, gender related, or based on sexual orientation or disability will be removed. Additionally, any comments that purposely encourage negative discussion will be removed, as will posts featuring negative comments or personal attacks on our guests, organization or other page contributors. The Peninsula SPCA welcomes page followers to post comments, concerns, and even criticism, but we ask you do so respectfully.
Don't spam. Please keep all comments related to the subject matter of the page, as off-topic, extremely repetitive, harmful or spam posts will be deleted. This page is also not a place for 3rd party advertisers to promote their products or messaging, and any posts in violation of these guidelines will be removed.
Be honest. Don't impersonate any other person or disguise your own identity. Respect the copyrights, trademarks and intellectual property of others.
Please report posts that violate these guidelines or Facebook’s Statement of Rights and Responsibilities, by using the spam link. Please note that we regularly investigate messages that have been marked as spam and remove messages that violate our guidelines.
Guests who engage in chronic violations of our policy, bullying and/or harassment may be removed from our page without notice.
