Our second National Action Council for Minorities in Engineering, Inc. (#NACME) scholar today is Barbara Jirau. She is in the class of 2017 and studying industrial engineering at Polytechnic University of Puerto Rico

We recently announced five Bechtel-funded scholarships through the National Action Council for Minorities in Engineering, Inc. (NACME). Today we will highlight two NACME scholars on our timeline. Our first is Daniel Clayton. He attends University of Florida and is studying electrical engineering. He will graduate in the class of 2017.

Charlene Wheeless, Bechtel's principal vice president for Global Corporate Affairs, has been honored as one of the “25 Influential Black Women in Business” by The Network Journal, New York's leading Black professional and small-business magazine. Ms. Wheeless received the accolade earlier today at the media outlet’s 19th annual “25 Influential Black Women in Business Awards Luncheon” in New York City.
