The Hamilton Lane story began in Philadelphia in 1991, when we launched as a private equity advisory firm working with large public pension plans. Twenty-seven years later, we’re a global brand and a recognized leader in the private markets, with 16 offices and over 370 professionals worldwide.
During our early years, we focused almost exclusively on advisory mandates — and the respect we formed for that advisory role remains part of our DNA today. Since that time, we’ve grown and expanded our service offerings to cover the full spectrum of the private markets. By doing so, we believe we're better able to service our diverse client base.
