American Pawn and Jewelry began in 1988 as an offspring of Moore TV Rentals and Moore TV Productions. The Moore family helped to pioneer the Rent to Own industry starting in 1965.
Then establishing Moore TV Productions in the early days of the video revolution, about 1987. Moving into the pawn industry was another effort into uncharted waters. This was at a time when pawn broking was largely misunderstood by the public but the image was beginning to change for the better.

They envisioned a modern up to date organization with a country down to earth flavor. Forget the stereo-type of a dark, smoky shop in the seedy part of town with some cigar chewing, gun totin' proprietor. They operate as a "family" with a friendly "helping hand" spirit. Offering their clientele value for their money and their possessions. They deal in just about anything of value except firearms. The absence of guns help to create a much more desirable and safer family atmosphere.

In only a few years they have loaned over $11,000, to a customer base of more than 36,000 individuals.
Their facility has grown from a small display space within the rental store to just over 7,000 sq ft of storage and display. This includes their building expansion in 1994.

Their specialty is jewelry, gold and diamonds, but they eagerly accept tools of all kinds, electronics, musical instruments, fishing equipment, and almost anything of value.
