Established in 1960, Electric Motor and Contracting remains one of the largest independently owned motor and pump shops in the with over 150,000 square feet of facility.
Our main campus holds a large motor repair facility, machine shop, large pump repair facility, a switchgear repair division as well as a Nuclear radiologically contaminated repair facility. We also provide a climate controlled storage facility with 24/7 monitoring and monthly preventative maintenance.
At EMC, we hold ourselves to the highest quality standards. Both our Chesapeake and Courtland locations have maintained an ISO 9001 certified program since 1999. We have a Nupic audited safety related 10CFR50 Appendix B program for the nuclear power industry.
