The Enid Symphony Center is home to the Enid Symphony Orchestra. Founded in 1905, the ESO reaches audiences in excess of 10,000 annually. Directed by Maestro Douglas Newell, the ESO presents a five concert subscription series, a free outdoor July 4th performance in Enid’s Meadowlake Park and the Carnegie Hall Link Up educational concerts which serve 3000 area elementary students. Joan L. Allen Symphony Hall is the performance venue for ESO subscription programs. The Center also houses the Eleanor Hornbaker Banquet Hall, the Park Avenue Thrift Theatre and the Jane Champlin Art Gallery. The facilities of the ESC host such annual events as the Gaslight Dinner Theater and the FLY Film Festival. The elegant spaces of the ESC are highly desirable for private events including weddings, anniversary and birthday celebrations, proms and Quineaneras.
