Who else thinks a dog would brighten up their work day? We may be jealous Pensacola Police Department ;)
Friday morning, Officers Kesley "Ike" Isenberg and Zach Harris found a Mom with three kids trying to live under the interstate. They took some time to talk to them and really get to the root of the problem. Without going into too many details, the Mom had been the victim of terrible circumstances and a lot of rotten luck. Ike and Zach contacted the EscaRosa Coalition on the Homeless and got the ball rolling to get them immediate help. But one problem existed. A three pound problem named Henry, to be exact. The housing that was being arranged could not handle a dog. The Mom had to choose between getting a roof over her kids' heads or living on the street with Henry. Ike gave her another option...he offered to foster the pooch until they got settled in a more permanent home. Of course, Ike had many hours left in the shift, so now he has a partner for the day. The Mom and kids are sheltered and things are looking up for everyone. #pupsideofflorida #pensacolasfinest #ahandup #50percentears50percenttremble #flaweddogs
